About teachSTEM
teachSTEM Ltd is an Australian charity with extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale education, community engagement and regional capacity-building initiatives across Australia. Our programs connect science, education, industry and communities through practical, place-based experiences that build capability, strengthen partnerships and create lasting community resources. Since our establishment, we work with schools, public libraries and community organisations, universities, government agencies and industry partners to deliver innovative STEM, environmental and citizen science programs.
Meet the Team
Dr Bridie Schultz
Dr Schultz has a PhD in Theriogenology, Masters in STEM Education, Honours in Human Reproduction, Bachelor of Animal Science, and leads researcher coaching programs. Bridie has over 15 years experience working in research, research management and science communications. She lives by the principle that knowledge is only useful if it is shared; industry works on global problems and it is important for the wider community to be informed and involved.
Astra Sang Yum
Astra has over 15 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, business administration, and STEM education. She helps bring science and research to the community by coordinating projects, supporting operations, and managing digital engagement. Astra works closely with researchers, teachers, and students, helping to shape organisations and projects that drive meaningful impact. With a strong background in customer relations, event planning, and program development, she is passionate about connecting science, education, and the broader community.
Indiana Rhind
Indiana is an Agricultural Engineer and PhD Candidate researching how to better support the delivery of agricultural education in schools. She brings diverse experience across engineering, project management, research, education program design and delivery, and business operations to the teachSTEM Team. Indiana is passionate about making STEM and agriculture more accessible, engaging, and relevant to young people
Kelly Paton
Kelly has over 20 years experience in stakeholder engagement and client management. She is passionate about building strong collaborative relationships and possesses a unique talent for engaging diverse audiences. Kelly utilises critical thinking and diversity of input to design and deliver tailored solutions in education and innovation for research.
